After working for a company of instruments for handicapped people as a salesman and an automobile parts company as a buyer, Peter became a student to learn forestry. Peter decided to be a Hanko Artist because he’s loved it and began to learn it himself as 41 years old . In 2021 when Japanese government stated ‘less Hanko’’ which made people think much less necessity of Hanko from that period, Peter opened Hanko shop in the forest. It made his relatives and friends surprised, but Peter says below very calmly.   

‘’I lived in Europe, and was familiar with signature culture at that time, so I thought necessity of Hanko was surely decreasing quite soon in Japan, too. But I don’t think Hanko is unnecessary any more. Because I think Hanko has a power of giving a beauty and energy. It’s one of ART. It’s the same role as music, paintings, dance, and any other arts. To speak of extremes, we can live without them, but we can live more happily with it. I love Hanko, and I die to create Hanko, so I will tell Hanko not only in Japan but also all over the world.  

Peter lives in countryside with a lot of nature. He takes care of a forest and he works there when the weather is fine.

Peter is also tenor singer, Reiki  healer, and private school teacher of English and mathematics.
